Lead with VImpact

This immersive learning experience is about developing leadership capability in response to emerging trends. It combines a vital combination of key dimensions for leading both virtually and physically as they are all progressively interconnected. The focus is to enable leaders to master these core skills to develop remote cross-functional teams that are loosely coupled yet tightly aligned. Your managers and leaders will build teams that are ‘super ready’ for co-creative decision making, collective commitment and genuine accountability. In addition to deep communication skills, managers will learn how to:

  • Connect with their team in a virtual environment
  • Display authentic humanity
  • Honor empathetic agility

“I particularly liked how the workshop scenarios were relevant to the work of the WFP. Leaders got to drill deeper in unique ways… in scenarios tailored to their functions and corresponding skill set.”

Adham Effendi, Head of Supply Chain UN, WFP Ethiopia

“The program was an engaging and impactful experience for all participants and we have observed tangible shifts in some of our managers who attended the program.”

Sarah Buyaki, Group HR Manager MODE, Mobile Decisioning, Africa

Why LwVI will count for you!

Physical meetings will resume at a steady pace. But even when we get back together, virtual interactions and remote meetings will continue at a significant level. What your managers do and say to embody their leadership traits on screen remains critical. These leadership behaviors and skills encompass.

  • Weaving collective inspiration into the conversation by being authentic.
  • Being alive to the diverse needs and strengths of team members and shifting gears in different conversations.
  • Enabling psychological safety and curious questions nurturing genuine buy-in as the team focuses on “our score”.
  • Forging emotional buy-in, commitment and accountability for standards, behaviors and performance.

By mastering these skills, team leaders will get the best out of their team members when it comes to motivation levels, commitment, performance and getting results. Simultaneously, relationships and team culture will become effective enablers that provide you with an edge in the markets in which you play, with an increased potential to win.

Impact

At the beginning of 2020 we worked closely with a leadership team at a UN agency in Ethiopia. They identified delivery of aid to beneficiaries in targeted volumes at optimal speeds as a key success factor. Each leader was highly effective in securing collective buy-in and inspiring their team members to stretch beyond ‘normal’. From April to December the metrics adopted to measure this goal were all met, and in some cases exceeded.

In Q1 2021, heads of units in a regional bank integrated LwVI skills into their leadership practice. The result: by mid Q2 more team members were making decisions on the ground in the right way at the right time. The business has seen a significant increase in both turn-around times and quality of decisions in various areas including product development, risk management and customer experience.
